31/03/2026 | In the lead-up to Anzac Day 2026, a powerful and moving tribute will once again take shape across Ballarat – thousands of Australian flags will flutter proudly at the graves of service personnel laid to rest or commemorated at the Ballarat Old and New Cemeteries.

6/03/2026 | Our Lawn F location, we will be undertaking a lawn renovation project to replace existing cool season grasses with warm season varieties. This will be completed for Rows 19 to 34. Not only will this improve the look of the lawns in this area and reduce water and chemical usage, it will also give us the chance to level out sunken graves and uneven ground, improving safety for everyone visiting or working at this location.

29/12/2025 | As of October 2025, Parliament has passed an amendment to the Cemeteries and Crematoria Act to permit the placement of animal remains in Victorian cemeteries. Although the amendment has not yet received royal assent, assent is expected and would enable the new provisions to come into effect.
24/12/2025 | What is the Biodiversity Project taking place at Church of England F - The project began in December 2024. Its goal is to allow selected areas to better support local native plants and animals, while improving environmental sustainability and resilience to climate change. The Church of England F (COE F) section was chosen because it already contains a high number of native Kangaroo Grass.
